Doctors

Mary Ann Haggerty

Owner

Dr. Mary Ann Haggerty graduated with her degree from the University of California-Davis College of Veterinary medicine in 1991. In 2000, she became the owner of Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic. With her practice growing rapidly, Dr. Haggerty built our current facility and moved in 2008. Since then, she has grown into a 6-doctor practice with advanced care services and the latest diagnostic tools.

She enjoys general veterinary medicine, with particular interests in the areas of orthopedic surgery and reproduction. When she has free time, Dr Haggerty enjoys spending time with her dogs, riding her horses, and kayaking.

Tina Miller

Dr. Tina Miller joined Alder Creek in July, 2017. She graduated from Washington State University in 2017 in the top 10% of her veterinary class.

Dr. Miller’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is the human-animal bond and the opportunity to help pets live happier, healthier, longer, pain-free lives.

Dr. Miller practices general medicine with a special interest in end-of-life care, internal medicine and surgery.

Her passions outside of work involve anything outdoors including snowboarding, mountaineering, trail running, surfing, mountain biking, and triathlons. She enjoys theses activities with her husband and Border Collie, Lenny.

“Be the person your dog thinks you are”

Phillip Meltzer

Before graduating from Cornell University’s DVM program in 2006, Dr. Meltzer practiced as an attorney in New York. Inspired by James Herriot, a British veterinary surgeon and writer, he began his journey from law to veterinary medicine. He spent a couple years working with local vets to gain experience and, along the way, spent time at Ground Zero decontaminating Search and Rescue dogs during 9/11.

In 2010, Dr. Meltzer moved to Washington with his fiancee and cat, Chutzpah. In his free time, he enjoys jamming with his band and anything outdoors.

“Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read.”

Sharon Young

Dr. Young’s journey began in the fourth grade with her family’s veterinarian. When she and her family would visit their veterinarian, he always took the time to engage with the kids and teach them about their pet’s health. Inspired by her childhood vet, Dr. Young knew from a young age she wanted to become a veterinarian. She believes in treating the whole patient and educating pet owners so they can help their pets live happy and healthy lives.
